Dhadl came to life when I designed my graduation collection from the school for pattern drafting and design in 2008. Since then I worked in diffirent fields of the textile trade and continued making clothing for my own use. I have opened my studio in the Morvan, Atelier de Couture, several years ago where I work mostly as a tailor. Patching away, replacing zippers and altering clothes. 

Since the beginning of 2022 I started designing again. I also dived into natural dyeing and I'm learning by doing.

I aime to use mostly pre-loved materials. Cotton and linnen given to me or found on markets and in second hand stores.

Every item is made from start to finish in my studio. Patterns are drafted, samples made, the dye bath prepared and motifs painted. If the first steps are taken, I can assemble the pattern and sew in my Dhadl-label.  

Dhadl is born out of love for textile, shapes and color. I flow with my never ending stream of creativity. Who knows where it might take me.....

Sizing

I don't necessarily use sizes. My experience has taught me that people get distracted by letters and numbers. How to know if it works for you? try it on!

Laundry instructions

Most items are machine washable, but that being said, know that the laundry machine and high temperatures are harsh on fabric. Therefor I would suggest to wash on low temperatures and with PH-natural soap (to keep colors vivid). Washing by hand is suggested in certain occasions. Using a dryer to dry your laundry is NOT recommended. Dryers wear down textiles super fast. Hang to dry or occasionly lay item flat.
